» Achievements And Project Tracks
the inception of the APPLE, it has undertaken numerous developmental programmes through contractual agreements and public-private partnerships. During all these while the development and management team of the APPLE has successfully co-designed, implemented and managed a number of projects, which have resulted in the improvement of health and socio-economic conditions among poor people. The efforts invested into ensuring that communities benefit from what we do have been recognized on many occasions. For example, in 1994, APPLE competed and won the first prize for a poster on AIDS entitled Mummy and Daddy what happens when you die of AIDS. This competition was organized by the Ministry of Health (Ghana). Some of these successes and project track records are presented in Table 3. The post-evaluation reports on each of these projects clearly indicated that our organization is effective in what we do and how we do it.
